Emperors Palace, in association with Jet Airways and The Dusit Thani hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, are proud to host the Thai Food Festival at Emperors Palace from 31 October to 7 November at Aurelia’s Restaurant in the D’oreale Grande hotel and at Queen of the Nile buffet restaurant. Fans of Thai cuisine will be tantalised by exotic flavours and spices at this international food spectacle.
International Thai Culinary experts, Chefs Sakarin Honglattanvolakit, Surasak Kongsawat and Arporn Kummalue have been flown in especially for the festival. The chefs hail from the leading Thai owned hotel The Dusit Thani hotel in Bangkok which boasts an impressive 10 restaurants. Preparing quality dishes for over a thousand guests per night ranging from delicate Thai noodles to fresh prawn and seafood dishes. Guests are guaranteed a visual delight as well as an explosion of unique flavours for the palate, alongside Complex executive sous chef Ronald Ramsamy.
The Emperors Palace food festivals have become a firm favourite amongst novices and culinary experts alike, and the Thai food festival is no different. Wayne Hill, Emperors Palace General Manager for Hotels and Resort Operations says, “We are very excited to host the Thai food festival this year. The delicate yet spicy flavours of Thai food are incredibly popular worldwide and we look forward to welcoming these three talented chefs into our midst to share their wealth of knowledge with us.”
The Thai Food Festival will start at Aurelia’s Restaurant with a Thai barbeque on 31 October that can be enjoyed by the entire family for R175 per person. The Thai Wine and Dine Evening on 4 November will treat guests to a special 6 course set menu in Aurelia’s Restaurant at R290 per person. From 5 to 7 November the Egyptian themed Queen of the Nile will host a Thai buffet with live cooking stations for only R125 per person. An exciting addition to the festival is a Thai high tea at Aurelia’s on 4 November for R95 per person. The Thai Food Festival will end off with a Thai buffet Barbeque at Aurelia’s restaurant on 7 November and is R175 per person.
