It’s here. Theatre lovers everywhere get yourself ready for one wild ride this month as Gold Reef City Casino and The Lyric Theatre host Move It, A thrilling family variety show which is set to dazzle young and old with its luscious dancing, sensational singing and impressive speciality acts.

Move It takes audiences on a spellbinding journey of song. Hits, old and new. Fast and slow. There’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. Couple the music with a few passionate dancers who explode onto the stage during every number, and well its not worth missing. If you want some more, lets add a world-class illusionist into the mix? But if you’re still not satisfied, two of the best contortionists in the world are set to delight and enthrall you with their unimaginable and inconceivable act.

The heart and soul of this charming production is held in the capable hands of The Lyrics own Tracey Lee Oliver and talented SA vocalist Sury Boltman, both of whom have graced many a stage in SA theatre and have garnered a strong fan following over the last few years. It’s not hard to see why.

Tracey Lee Oliver burst onto the scene in Richard Loring’s Knights of Music in 2009 and made theatre goers stop and take notice. In Move It she shows us just why she has been labeled the ‘diva of all diva’s’. From her catchy take on pop tunes like Cher’s Strong Enough, to her heart stopping and jaw dropping rendition of Somewhere over the Rainbow, this girl is here to stay! Her male counterpart in the show is Sury Boltman, who has just returned from 4 years showing his talents in the Mediterranean. He is happy to be back on SA soil and playing to home audiences once again. Sury’s infectious personality and sparking voice take over in my favourite numbers such as I’ve Had The Time of my Life and a glittering ABBA montage with the entire cast.

Move It is fun, its sassy, its at times heart stopping and sends your pulse racing. But most of all you’ll leave with a smile on your face and a spring in your step. Its perfect for a family outing, the kids will just love it, and you’re guaranteed to want more.
