Once Upon a Christmas Time...

As kids all of us at Rave were glued to our fairytale books; We’re talking Cinderella looking oh so glam at the ball, Snow White getting that romantic kiss to wake her the heck up from a dashing prince, and who can forget that ugly looking duckling who showed its true colours and in the end turned into a beautiful swan? Well, think Hansel and Gretel now because our latest ‘must have’ for the festive season looks like it comes straight out of one of those books!

Christmas is a time for sugar and spice and all things nice, but do we really want the extra effort of stringing the popcorn for the tree, making the eggnog, wrapping the presents, cooking up a Christmas day feast and preparing a stunning centerpiece for the kids and family to enjoy and savor (whew who else is tired)! What if we told you that there were some folks out there who have taken their love of all things Santa and made things a little easier for you this year?

The Gingerbread Man is a creative and unique brand created by a sassy lady named Kristin who has taken her fond childhood memories of her mama making her and her siblings a gingerbread house at Christmas to the next level by ensuring that we can make OUR own memories now.

The gingerbread house comes as a flat pack- so its easy for the family to assemble the house together and decorate it just the way you want it. It can be used as a centre piece for the Christmas table and you get to eat it afterwards as the whole house is edible and it just smells delicious; there’s nothing like the fresh smell of baked Gingerbread wafting through the house. The Gingerbread house also has a long shelf life so it can stand for a week or two once it has been built.

Now inside the box you will find the baked walls, roof and chimney, icing sugar, sweets for decorating, a cake board, smoke for the chimney and step-by-step instructions. The house is assembled with the icing sugar provided. Just mix it with 2 egg whites and you’re ready to build. Have some patience with it ladies, especially if you’re building it with your little tots, it will be done in about 2 hours.

These folks have also made your gifting simpler. The Gingerbread Man stocks the products ready packed in Christmas paper so you can give it away as a gift.
