Mommies and daddies looking to amuse their kids will find themselves enthralled in the National Children’s Theatre (NCT) adaptation of  L. Frank Baum’s heart-warming children's classic The Wizard of Oz. This spell-binding tale will transport audiences to the magical land of Oz during the December holidays, from Monday 15 November 2010.

Join lovable Dorothy together with her beloved dog Toto on her remarkable journey over the rainbow to the Emerald City. Along the way she meets the rusty Tin Man in search of a heart, the Scarecrow in need of a brain, and the Cowardly Lion who lacks courage.

The Wizard of Oz

The Wizard of Oz will be staged and directed by the NCT’s award-winning director, Joyce Levinsohn.

Musical Supervision is by Rowan Bakker, and Choreography by Nicol Sheraton, while Décor and

Lighting are by award winning Stan Knight and Jane Gosnell.

The Wizard of Oz will run at The National Children’s Theatre (NCT), 3 Junction Avenue, Parktown, 

from 15 November until 23 December 2010. During the government school term, performances 

are weekdays at 9.00am and 10.30am. During school holidays, performances are Mondays to Saturdays at 10.30am and 2.30pm.
