The Mecer DigiMemo
Remember that time old saying ‘Wow, this is better than sliced bread’? Rave Review has found it!  Let us tell all you techno-phobes all about it, and by the end of this feature we’d bet you’d be running to the store snap one up for yourself or a prezzie for the fabulous people who are near and dear to you this festive season.

Light Up Your Smile

…And the Oscar for the ‘Coolest Find of the Week’ (maybe even year so far..) goes to Lalu Lip Lites - a fun and funky new lip gloss. Its unique and aint your usual run of the mill pot-o-gloss.
Imagine, you’re in the car outside your crush’s house and you need a quick but effective touch-up, or the guy of your dreams is walking towards you in a club and you have exactly 1 minute to look oh so glam, only one problem – the light is horrendous and instead of finding your lips, your gloss finds your ear, or some other ridiculous place on your anatomy…

Matthew Marinus and Ryno Zeelie are Sergeant Fu!
Sergeant Fu burst onto the local music scene during the FIFA World Cup 2010 with their fun-filled track “Vuvuzela”. Immediately they captured local and international attention with their new “Feel-Good” genre of music, eclectic style, zany sense of humour and fun demeanor. This Johannesburg twosome have successfully followed all the hype up with their eagerly awaited debut album, “Push The Awesome Button” - at the launch which took place at Tanz Café  in Fourways on Wednesday last week.

The Nissan 370Z Roadster
Fast ‘bling’ cars usually go hand in hand with the catch phrase ‘toys for boys’; they’re big, and bulky, go faster than the speed of sound and women are usually completely intimidated at the thought of even driving one. Well ladies, times they are changing. When Rave Review! was given the opportunity to test-drive Nissan’s new 370Z Roadster we excitedly threw our hands up in the air and relished the challenge that awaited us. We were going to be driving in style.

Cherry Fold Up Ballet Flats
We’ve all had those nights when we’d sooner hear the fashion praises our killer 5-inch heels bring us than the handsome eye candy on our arm.  But let’s face it, basic shoe 101 tells us every time that by the middle of the evening, we’d sooner jump into a hot bath to ease our precious swollen tootsies than mingle like social butterflies we were born to be.

Summer Reads..

Step aside Danielle Steel because here in the R-S of A we have found our very own story telling fundi, a gal who is putting a smile on our faces and a warm fuzzy feeling in our big old hearts!
Joanne Jowell, a Cape Town based writer has got the whole country talking, and we arent talking cellphones here, we're talking raw emotion, the stuff that gets books turned in movies...and I should know..shelving much needed beauty sleep over the last few days. The purpose for this you may be asking? To  hermit myself all so that I don't miss a page of my new favourite girlie read.

Hold on to your hats sisters, we have the low-down on the hottest craze around. Gone are the days of plain, mundane and let’s be honest, truly horrid undergarments for all us trendy ladies. These days we have oodles of  cool and funky undies to choose from and what I’m about to tell you is bound to get your knickers in a knot.
Introducing Smartiepants™ ! These absolutely fabulous, one of a kind undies come packaged in a replica…..you guessed it…..Smartie box (GENIUS)! The undies, which come in three sizes (Small, Medium and Large), are just too gorgeous for words (plus they fit like a dream). We’d buy tall of them up just for the eye-catching box, with funky text like ‘Store in a happy place’ and phrasing such as ‘ability, accomplishment and virtuoso making up the many ‘Ingredients’ printed on the box itself. They truly are űber cool.

The season of all things Santa Claus is drawing near which means one thing. Schools will be closing, and businesses will be shutting down for their annual December holidays. Knowing this, there should be no excuse not to find time for you; it’s called ‘me time’ ladies. And we should all find time to do it. Start off with something small; draw yourself a heavenly bubble bath, or brew a delicious pot of English tea and curl up with a good book. If you’re feeling more adventurous showcase your gastronomically astute talents by cooking a sumptuous meal for your closest friends, everyone loves a little soiree now and then…
